How to Properly Fit and Measure Your Suit

Getting the right fit is crucial for looking sharp in a suit. Follow these steps to ensure a perfect fit:

  1. Shoulders: The jacket should sit comfortably at your shoulders without any tightness. The seam should align with your shoulder's edge.
  2. Chest: Button the jacket. You should be able to comfortably slide your hand inside. If it feels tight or loose, consider adjusting the size.
  3. Waist: The jacket should taper slightly at the waist. It should not pull or bunch when buttoned.
  4. Sleeves: The sleeves should end just above the wrist, exposing a bit of shirt cuff.
  5. Length: The jacket should cover your seat and fall to about the middle of your hand when your arms are at your sides.
  6. Pants: Measure your waist and inseam. Trousers should fit snugly without being tight. The break (where the pants meet your shoes) should be slight.
